Be sure to support Rural Resources and the Mobile Market this year.  You have to check this out, (links above) WHAT A GREAT IDEA!  This is a great way to support Your Local Farmers, and believe me, we appreciate your support. For a list of Local Farms please visit www.fromthefarm.net.

Carson Creek Organics is now "Certified Naturally Grown".  Look for the CNG logo while shopping at local farmers markets. The farm was inspected on June 9, 2010 and we passed!  Please take a look at the Naturally Grown website to see a list of farmers who provide naturally grown produce, meats, and honey. Carson Creek Organics is listed on the site as Greene and Washington Counties.  You can also see our statement of growing methods and produce standards on the site.  We are proud to grow vegetables and fruits naturally, with no chemical pesticides or fertilizers.  Please visit our gardens and view our pictures below.

Seeds are becomming a large concern for local farmers and for the conusmers of produce.  Carson Creek Organics saves most of the seed used to grow our vegetables and melons.  This will be the 4th year of saving seed for us.  We do however, purchase some of our seed each year in order to grow new items.  We have invested some time in research in order to purchase seed from companies that have no ties to corporation owned seed companies.  We are proud to use Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company, http://www.rareseeds.com/.  Here is a list of seed companies that may be safe to use click here.  I prefer NOT to use Seeds of Change since they are owned by the Mars Company.  I have no problem with their seed, but I prefer to use Non-Corporation seed companies that are devoted to providing seeds with no genetic modification.

Be sure to sign up for our email service.  We will send you pictures of the produce.  Visit the farm and see what is growing.

Please call us for delivery options or directions to the farmers' market.

We hope to expand this year and offer more.  We have added more blackberry plants, some new blueberry plants, and saskatoon bushes.  We plan to offer more varieties of melons and squash for summer.  We will be planting cabbage, broccoli, greens, brussel sprouts, and onions soon.  We now have mistletoe decorations, shelled black walnuts, and kale. Just a little bit of spinach is under the snow and we hope by spring it will be lots of spinach.  My Mom and Dad always said that a winter blanket of snow over the spinach will bring a beautiful and tasty crop for spring.

The plan for this year is to develop a community supported agriculture program (CSA).  Subscriptions will be available to people in the community who want to support local growers.  For their support they will receive non-toxic, nutrient rich, naturally grown food right out of the garden.
